Success in the classroom increases family stability; however,for many Encuentro families, obstacles outside of the classroom can make learning difficult. Encuentro’s two full-time Community Health Workers offer confidential, one-on-one assistance to help families address needs, find solutions and strengthen community.

Financial Strength Through Education, Access, and Opportunity

Through trusted partnerships and culturally relevant support, we connect individuals and families with tools to save, invest, and grow—whether they’re navigating daily expenses or planning for long-term goals.

Financial Empowerment Network (FEN)

In partnership with UnidosUS, Encuentro offers free, one-on-one financial coaching for individuals and families to tackle issues like credit and debt management, budgeting, and small business finances.

Nusenda Microloan Program

In partnership with Nusenda Credit Union, Encuentro offers low-interest microloans, to eligible students and community members to support home repairs, vehicle purchases, small business and other needs, increasing access to capital and promoting financial stability.

Housing Stability Microloan Pilot

This pilot is a multi-sector, community-led initiative designed to provide short-term, affordable financial assistance through a relationship-based microloan model.

Childcare

Childcare: Encuentro’s onsite childcare program provides a safe, healthy, and engaging space for our students’children, creating peace of mind for parents to maximize their educational opportunities.
